Macau Macau
Macau is a former Portuguese colony near Hong Kong. The island is characterised by it's two conflicting identities. On the one hand it's cultured with a face of Mediterranean architecture, on the other it has developed an image as the 'Vegas' of China with the development of such casinos as The Venetian. It has to be one of the most bazar places I have ever encountered. The masses of sight seers was a bit too overwhelming, however it is most definitely a must in anyones HK itinerary.
