Arrival to Hong Kong
I arrived into Hong Kong International airport October 27th. Just landed in the country and I was able to check one thing off my bucket list to see one of the worlds most ambitious engineering projects. I had first heard about this airport in a lecture given at UCD by an engineer who worked on the project. It began with the reclamation of 1,248 hectares of land off the north coast of Lantau Island, where I will be living for the next couple of months. I would highly recommend anyone flying into this airport to spare at least an hour to have a look around. The scale alone is enough to wow anyone!
